Publications in a new book: Finding meaning in healthcare
Featuring chapters on Creative Enquiry and Flourishing Spaces
We’re delighted to share that two new chapters on Creative Enquiry and Flourishing Spaces have been published in a new book: Finding Meaning in Healthcare; Looking Through the Hermeneutic Window, co-edited by Rupal Shah and Bob Clarke.
The publication explores the human dimensions of healthcare, reflecting on how creativity, reflection, and connection can deepen our understanding of what it means to care and to flourish. The volume includes a joint chapter with John Launer and Louise Younie, as well as a dedicated chapter on Flourishing Spaces, which features some of the fantastic student work and thinking in the field of Creative Enquiry.
Together, these contributions highlight how creative approaches can open new ways of seeing and understanding meaning within healthcare practice and education, and particularly the chapter on Flourishing Spaces highlights the importance of working with students to look through their window of lived experience and create opportunities for creativity in the present moment.
