Keele Medical School: Keynotes on Human Dimensions, Flourishing, and Creative Inquiry

Professor Louise Younie attended the RCGP Midlands event on 11th of September and the Medical school event on the 17th of September, both taking place at Keele.

We’re pleased to announce that Louise Younie recently delivered keynote addresses at Keele Medical School, focusing on the human dimensions of healthcare, creative enquiry, and flourishing in medical education. Her talks explored how flourishing can be brought more explicitly into clinical training and learning environments, encouraging educators and students alike to attend to connection, meaning, and the full human experience of medicine, not just its technical demands.

These keynotes also featured reflections on how creative enquiry can serve as a bridge between personal experience and professional growth, and how fostering flourishing spaces within medical curricula supports resilience, compassion, and deeper engagement.

The event garnered meaningful feedback, and the themes resonated strongly across the Keele community, continuing the movement of bringing flourishing into more academic and clinical settings.

You can read more about the event and view reflections on LinkedIn here.
